Photographer Garry Corbett was on hand to capture the action at the Jazzlines Free Jazz session at the Symphony Hall foyer bar last Friday. He writes:
“Billed as Babelfish it turned out to be a duo performance by singer Brigitte Beraha and pianist Barry Green. Bass player Chris Laurence and drummer Paul Clavis were unfortunately marooned on the motorway. This gave Brigitte ample space to expand her wonderful voice and treat us to a recital which at times reminded me of the great Norma Winstone at her clear swooping vocal best. A real treat in my opinion.”
