Chris Bowden hails from Birmingham. He began his professional career with The K Creative in the early 1990s acid-jazz boom, also working with Palmskin Productions, Jessica Lauren, Jhelisa and Gilles Peterson. Working across a variety of genres, he then went on to make impressive contributions to music by 4 Hero, The Herbaliser and The Heritage Orchestra.
His two main solo album releases, Time Capsule (Souljazz Records) and Slightly Askew (Ninja Tune) received wide critical acclaim throughoout the UK and Europe. He is a third of the Tomorrow Band trio with Ben Markland and Neil Bullock who have released two acclaimed albums, 3 to Get Ready (2007) and 2 to Get Set (2009) both on Rehab Records. He is currently writing new material for the third Tomorrow Band album to be released in Spring 2015.
