The band is Bare Brass, and they have an EP of music with Christmas in mind and a good cause at its heart. The EP is called Brandy Snaps and the charity it supports is Water Aid.
The brains behind the project is Tom Harris, who is currently a second year student on Birmingham Conservatoire’s jazz course.
Tom explains:
The story behind the EP is basically that we put on a gig last year in Manchester at Christmas to raise money for Water Aid and the music went down really well so I thought it would be cool to record it all and try to make some more money as it’s such a great charity!

Finally, the album finishes with a short spoken-word piece: Spoken Word (Matt Harris), Piano, Drums, Chorus
