Jazzlines in Birmingham is offering young female jazz musicians free career advice and guidance from a panel of experienced musicians and industry figures at an event later his month.
The Women In Jazz Professional Development Panel will comprise Lauren Kinsella, vocalist, composer and recently announced as a recipient of a Jazzlines Fellowship for 2015; Sandra Marcy, artist manager; Rosie Hanley, journalist and marketing officer; and Rebecca Nash pianist, composer and arranger.
This panel is part of Jazzlines’ education and talent development programme.
Phil Woods, the programme’s project manager, said: “Any female jazz musician between the age of 16 and 25 can apply for a free place at this event and topics covered will include Marketing and PR, booking gigs, applying for funding and developing relationships with promoters & jazz focussed media contacts.”
