Congratulations to the new Jazzlines Fellows 2014/15

Three jazz musicians have been awarded Fellowships for 2014/15 by the Birmingham organisation Jazzlines. The winners were announced last night at a reception at Symphony Hall in Birmingham.

They are trumpeter Yazz Ahmed, vocalist Lauren Kinsella and bass player Chris Mapp.

The three will benefit from a year of professional support to develop their careers and further their creative and artistic potential. They are the second group to have benefitted from this award – the first Jazzlines Fellows were Lluis Mather, Dan Nicholls and Percy Pursglove. An additional Fellow last year was drummer Jonathan Silk.

The Jazzlines Fellowships are supported by the Jerwood Charitable Foundation. Jazzlines is part of Performances Birmingham Ltd.

You can find out more about Yazz here, more about Lauren here and more about Chris here.

More here in due course.
