Garry Corbett writes: “Josh Kemp’s band was originally billed as a trio featuring Josh on saxophone, Mick Hutton on bass & Tim Lapthorn on piano, but became a quartet with the addition of Milo Fell on drums. The band featured material mainly from Josh’s recent album Tone Poetry with a few nicely reworked standards for good measure. Melodic warm toned jazz was the order of the evening, and much appreciated by the audience at the Red Lion.”

The Josh Kemp Band was presented by Birmingham Jazz
