Hypnotic Brass Ensemble

This news arrived too late for my Birmingham Post jazz diary, so the power of the old ink on paper can’t help promote the amazing Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, who are in Birmingham on Sunday evening.
The band comprises seven brothers, all sons of former Sun Ra Archestra trumpeter Phil Cohran, plus a drummer called 360.
They are supported by Bass Clef, a band from Bristol, and all are appearing at The Rainbow in Digbeth from 7-11pm.
It’s just £5 on the door to experience the full exhilaration of this one-of-a-kind New York band, who were most recently in this country with Mos Def.
